About Us

OUR VISION

“To be a local church established in the love of God and displaying that love like the church of Acts Chapter 2. As the love of God is displayed all people will be developed spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. People will also develop as disciples of Christ and families will be strengthened. People will grow as leaders in their homes and communities and impact the world with the word of God.”

MISSION STATEMENT

Grace and Mercy exists to enrich, educate and restore people in the community by sharing God’s Word and enabling access to resources needed to become spiritually mature.

THE MISSION: Matthew 25:35-36

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

GOD'S WILL:  Matthew 28:19-20

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

From Scripture we believe the following doctrinal affirmation:

  1. We believe in the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, verbally inspired, the all sufficient rule of faith and practice.

  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the Virgin birth, the sinless perfection, the bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven of Jesus Christ, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.

  4. We believe man was created in the image of God, that he disobeyed God, and thereby incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and also physical death as a consequence; and that all the Adamic race are born in sin and are sinners by nature and practice.

  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

  6. We believe in the personal, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  7. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

  8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.

  9. We believe the Church is an elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body; its mission is to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel among all nations; it will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air where He appears to set up His kingdom.

  10. We believe the grace of God to be sufficient for the maintenance of a godly walk, and that Christ and not the law is the believer’s rule of life.
